Votes For Schools launched at Barking Learning Centre in the midst of October. This event allowed young people of Barking and Dagenham to begin talking about current affairs through their schools and give them the ability to vote on topical issues.

Young people from a number of schools pitched ideas on how to ‘get more young women into politics’ to an expert panel that included local councillors, Donna Ferguson – journalist for The Guardian and Countdown presenter Rachel Riley.
